This is a shot of emerging cinnamon fern heads. Captured with the Sigma EX 105mm macro lens and 20D, in manual at 1/400 and f/5.6. Shot handheld, lying on my side on a catwalk in the middle of a swamp. I was particularly pleased with the lighting and detail.

Anybody filed your H1 ext yourself? Is it worth it?
This will be my 12th yr extension. I have the previous extension papers (copies) that the lawyer sent me, so i was thinking i can look at those and draft a new ext myself. But with the latest news of H1 denied for consulting companies, is it worth doing it myself? I have worked for the same client for the last 11 yrs.
Everybody else would also like to do the same thing. Instead of Paying 3500 dollars to the attorney plus other fees by the employer. I feel its good to do it by yourself. If you have anything wrong USCIS would contact you back and you can reply on those. if it becomes a major thing, then you can hire a attorney.
I feel someone should post all the steps to file
1. H1B transfer
2. EAD
3. AP
4. I-485 (As for EB-I it would take a long time)
5. All other forms
Its not worth paying the attorneys for such a long time. Let USCIS take the trouble of correcting our errors

Yes, she can travel on H4 stamping. Also let her carry AP if need arises.

I believe a majority of those problems are for H1-B's that are consultants and move around on different projects. In your case it appears like you have a stable and consistent role given that you have been with the same employer for so long. Hope this helps.

My sponsoring company changed its� legal name on January 1, 2008 for some restructuring reasons. I got saved, as I�m July 2, 2007 I-485 filer (I ended up completing 6 months after I-485 with filing employer).
Our corporate attorney has advised us that, they would invoke AC21 only if RFE received.
Now, I�m looking else where for a new job � I plan to invoke AC21 only if RFE is received. However, I�m concerned that my employer may try to revoke I-140 (Note # On Behest of my �Desi� manager who has pinned me down on several occasions due to my pending GC application)
My question is � since filing employer no longer exists (legally), would my current employer be able to revoke I-140?
I would appreciate insight from Guru�s on this forum!

I am a question regarding h1b stamp.
I am working for a company (A) and I have visa stamp for company A until Dec 2010. I am planning to switch to company B soon. I was wondering if I need another visa stamp with company B or the same stamp will do. I am planning to visit India in February.

As for as my memory goes, you dont need to get a visa stamp till Dec 2010. However, when you reenter USA, you need to show the current company's I797 at the port of entry.

hi,
I am planning to extend the visitor visa for my mom for another two months.
Her current I94 expires on June 25th and At POE the officer told her that she must go back after 6 months.
If I apply for extension of her visa and in case she does not get any result before current I-94 expiry date, is it wise to stay on or leave US in order to avoid overstays?
2.What happens if she gets a rejection before her current I94 expiry, will she need leave earlier and apply for new visitor visa?

i was suffered fm TB long time back around 5 yrs back .... i am scared whether due to this reason my I-485 gonna be rejected. I already went trought the full 9 months medication at that time and been fully cures as my own mamaji was a TB specialist.
Can someone suggest me if they have gone through the same case. And if i need any documents to let them know that i am fully cured because my X-ray shows that spot/scars which says that i had TB and my mamaji told me that the scars will never go because of the medcation thing?? Please help

My original L1B visa was from Mar2004 to Mar2009 ( 5 years)
In Aug 2008 I left my L1 sponsor and started working on EAD for different employer( used AC21 portability)
Now my question is can my employer apply for H1B visa for me in April 2010?

thats very sad and bad on part of the HR. should always use fedEX, UPS for tracking such imp docs. anyways you can use Form I-824 Application for Duplicate Approval Notice.
google it and it should take around 3-5 months. friend of mine lost it at the photocopier and had to take this route.

I believe that the sponsored employee (and the attorney) are not allowed to have any part in the recruitment effort as per DOL guidelines. It should be done by the employer.
