You can convert GC process to Consular Processing. AFAIK, that is the most lgal way of working outside the country in your situation.

Can you walk in for un-scheduled apointment? ... Now days this might not be permissible, but I remember 5 yrs ago at Toronto consulate, after all scheduled applicants have been lines up timewise, un-scheduled applicants were asked to form line behind on first come first basis. Not sure if anyone got chance, as I was like most lined up ahead in scheduled lineup. But wonder if it is still permitted, how about taking chance?

"US Consulate General, Hyderabad, Cornelis M Keur addressing media persons at the 'meet the press' programme organised by Press Club Hyderabad said that due to economic slowdown the world over, the US government has taken a decision to tie up its unemployment problem which is nine per cent. But, there was no significant change in visa policy. "We continue to issue H1B visas with little more scrutiny," Keur said.
He said that, at the same time, the US government has framed a policy for the companies to give preference to native Americans in employment.
Obama administration has taken up a practical approach in establishing relations with the countries while there were efforts in strengthening relations with India because of the "Brain Borrowing", he said.
Keur said there are 3 million Indians in the US who are contributing to its prosperity specially mentioning about the Andhraites who marked their presence in various fields in the US including IT.
Keur said the Hyderabad Consulate, the fourth in the country was established due to the growing trade and development in the state in the IT, biotechnology and pharma sectors."

At the time of filing my application I just used one address.
Somehow I didn't know you could use Permanent address and current address.
You have used "one" address in I485, the same should be reflected in G325 - Consult with your lawyer.
I'm not sure but I guess my lawyer didn't file G325 form.
Is filing G325 form something mandatory ?

My LCA appl has a priority date of June 2004; and so far, Dallas BEC has lost my resent-appl twice. Lawyers failed to retrieve any status after that, and suggested a congressional liaison enquiry into it. If anybody is aware of this enquiry, would you plz let me know? Thanx.

Not sure what to say. But I believe in your original H1 petition requested dates of employment were only for one and a half month and I think you will get only that. Unless attorney files an amendment and documentation for additional 3 years. I dont think USCIS will even look at I-140 approval since it was not eve part of the packet

For the past 10 to 13 years people are waiting on the EB category Queue, and they are all tax payers as same as US Citizen.
some of them are in H1B status, in this economy it is not necessary that they should always have a job, so if the congress
is not acting on the Immigration bill as soon as possible, they are making the Legals also Illegals pretty soon, with the
USCIS nasty memo for the Employer-Employee relationship, getting an H1 extension became another Oil spill in the Gulf Coast!
This is not a joke, and politicians care little about this, because they cannot manipulate anything here, This is the year and time
to pass immigration bill. If not then immigration issue may not see light.
What about great Indian origin media tycoons Sanjay Gupta & Fareed Sakaria, why cant they make a issue on the media about this.
All Indian origins except some bunch of people, are waste and just eat, drink & be merry caes, and they don't care for anything.
Keeping the finger cross and waiting for the immigration bill introduced in congress as soon as possible at least before May 31st 2010. Even the home country of some of us here, India, with a puppet government and corrupted politicans can do nothing about this. :mad::o:eek:

Yes you can go to school part time on H1 for MBA. Some states allow you to claim in state tuition on H1 for state schools - that will significantly reduce the tuition bill. In addition Federal govt allows either a deduction of $4k / yr or a credit of up to $2 k / yr (search for tuition tax deduction and Lifetime Learning credits).

Technically yes. But USCIS looks at cases under a microscope when they see multiple applications from a same applicant. And if the the sponsor is a small firm, you can expect some careful screening. Increasingly USCIS is making efforts to ensure GC system is not abused by people. A lot of companies had in the filed for GC for several employees and GC applications for latter and sometimes former applicants were denied when it was found that the employer cannot show enough funds to support them. Take the risk only when you are sure. Lawyers will be happy to file multiple applications because they will get double their fees. BTW each lawyer generally makes you sign a contract beofre taking a case where the lawyer says that he cannot guarantee GC and if it is denied, lawyer takes no responsibility.

In the current situation USCIS is going to receive around One or Two millions of AOS applications. Issuing EADs and APs are going to face huge delays. So If USCIS cannot keep the 90 day promise for EADs they should issue interim EADs Or Introdue Premium processing for EADs and APs.
